Our Exclusive Trips
Scuba Nation Diving Centre is the first and only authorized PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and first National Geographic Dive Centre in Cambodia. We have offices in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville (on the coast) and bookings can be made while sunbathing in Sihanoukville or sight-seeing in Phnom Penh. We run various day trips and overnighters (2-day liveaboards) to the islands and at Scuba Nation, everything you need is included in the trips, there are no hidden costs. Our trips provide exclusive diving and we can promise you that the only other divers you see in the water will be the ones that came with you on the boat! No other operators dive such a large range of sites.

Departing from Sihanoukville, the islands off the coast present some amazing diving with an incredible diversity of hard and soft corals, a large collection of reef fishes and an enormous variety of macro-life. Most of the off-shore islands are uninhabited and between dives you can relax on the white sandy beaches or snorkel off the shore. Join us on the only 2 custom-built dive boats in Cambodia and enjoy exclusive diving in one of the last unexplored places on earth.

Safety
Our team of multi-lingual Dive Masters and Instructors are Cambodia’s most highly qualified and experienced dive professionals with years of experience anticipating diver needs. With a commitment to only the best scuba safety and communications equipment, we operate to the highest international standards. Scuba Nation has a 100% safety record and all our staff are fully qualified PADI Professionals and trained in first aid. However for your peace of mind and free of charge, we provide PADI Injury and Assistance Insurance for every individual who participates in any diving, snorkelling or swimming activity with us.

Small Groups
Divers are not expected to load the boat or wash the gear or even change their tanks, although if you feel inclined I'm sure any help would be gratefully accepted by our DMs! Groups are kept deliberately small to ensure a truly personalised service: we take a max of 10 on overnight trips. Our DMs take a maximum of 4-6 people and accompany each dive unless otherwise requested.

The Boat
We have the only liveaboard boat operating in Cambodia. It is a 2 deck boat, equipped with 2 fresh water showers, western toilet, cooking facilities, dining area, GPS, radio and fish-finder. We sleep on mattress beds on the lower and upper deck with sheets, blankets and pillows provided. There is nothing similar in Cambodia; please check out the photos on this website. We also have an accompanying speed boat to assist in taking customers to and from the boat.

Our new daytrip boat is comfortably set up with plenty of shade and has a pleasant sundeck where you can relax after diving or snorkeling. We have a big kitting up area with lots of space for all your dive gear. The boat has 2 side entrances and the best dive ladders to allow you to easily exit the water after a dive. We have a western toilet on board and a fresh water shower to rinse off.

The Diving
The best diving season in Cambodia is from late October to the end of June although we run all year round and some good diving can be had in the traditionally off-season months. Visibility typically ranges from 10-25 metres. The warm tropical waters are always between 27-31 degrees centigrade & the currents around the islands make it an ideal place for drift diving.

The diving around the islands tends to be fairly shallow (around 15 m unless you bring a spade!). Many of the dive sites around Cambodia are as yet completely undived. We are still finding new ones every week. There is a lot of hard and soft coral virtually untouched and the waters are great for macro photography, offering a wide variety of nudibranches, seahorses, octopus, worms, crustaceans, ascidians, holothurians, sea anemones and sponges. At the larger end of the scale, we have cuttlefish, stingrays, moray eels, cobia, pelagics and even dolphins and whales. Please check out the dive sites and photo gallery on this website for further info.

You can rent an underwater camera for the day and receive a CD of all your pictures or try a DPV (underwater jet-ski). Most of all, whether you’re doing a course or leisure diving, we believe diving should be fun, as that is why you do it, isn’t it?

Dive Sites
The islands off the coast present some amazing diving with an incredible diversity of hard and soft corals, a large collection of reef fishes, larger pelagics and an enormous variety of macro-life. Most of the off-shore islands are uninhabited and between dives you can relax on the white sandy beaches or snorkel off the shore. All of our dive sites are at least 1½-2 hours from the mainland in order to provide the best quality visibility available. We choose the dive sites for suitability depending on the experience of the divers, weather and prevailing wind. Most of the dive sites are fringe reef dives, best explored from a boat. Often there are mild currents on the dives, which is great as you get to see a lot of the site with minimum effort and of course we make sure either our speedboat or the dive boat picks you up, so there’s no hard work having to swim back.

Scuba Nation only dives at the best sites, even if they take longer to get to, and cost us more in fuel, we want to insure a memorable diving experience. Koh means island in Khmer. Choose a Koh below for more details.
